The Durham Learning Gateway (DLG) is Durham County Council’s learning platform, in use in virtually all nursery, primary and special schools and in over half of our secondary schools. It provides pupils, staff, parents and governors with communication, collaboration and e-Learning facilities including email, discussion forums and access to selected data from the school’s management information system. The top-level site provides curriculum, management and administration support to staff in all Durham schools.

All access is controlled by schools, so if you have forgotten your password or need to know more about how a particular school is using the DLG please contact the appropriate school.

Many of our schools need to obtain a copy of the latest Admissions Policy.  Further information can be found by visiting the School Choice Advice Service on the Durham County Council website.

Validation service for your website.

Many existing websites do not meet the standards that are set by W3c, which may result in the web page or web site not working correctly in certain browsers.  Here are a two ways you can see if your existing website meets these standards. 

1. If it is available, click on the W3c button on your website
2. If it isn't available, copy and paste the url of your website in the text box that can be found at http://validator.w3.org and select the 'revalidate' button

If your website is fully compliant, then you should see a green banner.  If it is red, then your website does not meet the standards set by W3c.  For full information on the guidelines that W3C recomends, please visit W3C Consortium.
